Pine Mountain Resort (Winter)

Designer: Dean Lowdon

Course Description:

Located close to Yosemite National Park in California Pine Mountain Resort is a different proposition when played in the wet winter months. With softer fairways the course certainly plays longer but accurate iron play will be rewarded with balls sticking on the greens.

A Day in the Woods

Really nice course here. This one boast some meandering fairways that sort of wind through the pine forest like some kind of nature trail. Not a lot of glitz and glamour here, oh no. Just you and nature. Very peaceful feeling course. Fells like I could have stopped and taken a leak of the island green at 14 maybe and no one would have even seen me.

Very sound course technically. Good shot choices that don't rip you off, and I personally like courses that make you play some draw and fade regardless of wind.

Only thing some might say about it is that it has almost 0 vegetation work. I mean, none. Not really an issue for me because the course is beautiful. However, it might could be grand with an up-doo!
