Doolough Manor

Designer: Dean Lowdon

Course Description:

Found on the outskirts of the small coastal town of Doolough in County Mayo Ireland, The Manor was designed and built by the Burrishoole family in 1907 and the family still own the land on which the course is situated to this day. Measuring in at around 6800 yards Doolough Manor is not a long course by modern standards but its links style layout and greens ensure it still provides a decent challenge for golfers of all standards.

I really liked it! I think this is the best course you've made so far. It felt like someones home course rather than a PGA monster and I liked it. Its not easy but there arnt a lot of tough holes right off the bat except for maybe 18. Add some wind and the firmness on the greens will prove to be a challenge on any level. There are birdies to have everywhere but you can just as easily end up with a double bogey if not careful.

Technicly I found nothing to comment. Everything was very well crafted. I feel like you deserve some form of developmental feedback as well and there was 1 thing that got me wondering. I think you used the wrong color for many of your water hazards. Just a minor detail that I think could have added an extra touch to what I believe to be a fantastic course.

My favorite hole was definetly #14
