A laid back trek through the woods, making me think this of courses I've played in my home state of Michigan.Reviewed by: James Moon on 4/9/2015
Even though I found this course to be quite easy, there was a lot to like about it. I found it to be very relateable in that it had a very realistic appearance to it, and contained a lot of nice little editing additions to enhance is realism. I also never grew bored with its straight forwardness. He did a marvelous job of mixing up the distances from hole to hole, and kept each one feeling fresh. I actually think it may have been a little more difficult than what I gave it credit for, because I lipped out an inordinate amount of putts, telling me that there was some deception that I didn't initially read.
I did experience a few cases of shadow flicker during my round. Not sure how big of a flaw that is but it was there so I'm reporting it. I also found the 17th green to be pretty obnoxious. Other than that I didn't really find much wrong with the course.
On a quick side note, I loved how there were several bunker formations in the shape of a cat's paw. It's a nice touch when to course's name ties into the design.
I could see this course being used for the Champions Tour. It won't frustrate them in any way, and isn't gimmicky and seems to fit the appearance of an event venue.
