This is a true links course. It has been called the first high quality links course on the forums. It is currently rated 8.0 on the game and is fair. Scores can be had but you will have be accurate. It is pretty and rewarding. The historical story of the course is that it was set to host the 1916 Open Championship that was cancelled due to WW I. Watch the video and enjoy.
- some great looking holes - very much like St. Andrews
- nice deep bunkers
- nice touch of a shared green that you see on some links courses
- greens are too small for the speed/firmness of the course
Teeing up on a links course you expect firm fairways and fast greens and that's what you'll find on Gregors Firth v2. One issue that creeps up during your round is the smallness of the greens. It's pretty tough landing approach shots longer than a 7i on the greens which is a shame since the course has lots of potential. Keep an eye out for future courses from Nic Zaiser (MisterNic on XB1) as it's quite obvious he's got what it takes to create quality courses.
