Wildfire Ridge Golf Club

Designer: Craig LeVasseur

Course Description:

This is an extensive renovation of my first desert course. I consider this my best looking fictional course, and also my easiest. The fairways are quite wide, and your path off the tee dictates the difficulty of your approach shot. The are a few water hazards on the back 9 that can derail your round, but otherwise plenty of scoring opportunities are available.

How often have you played a course in TGC and wanted to re-play it right after you ended your round? Not so often? Never probably? Well... then please make sure you give Wildfire Ridge Golf Club a go and the above will change most likely!

This course is another masterpiece by one of TGC's best course designers, Craig LeVasseur. This Desert-themed beauty will immediately land on your favorite list I guess (at least it did on mine). The general hole layout is fantastic and very varying, and definitely on the easier side. Those massive bunker agglomerations all over the course look great (and might come into play on bad shots). The greens, pin positions and firmness are geared to each other in an absolute fantastic way.

And I don't know if this was done intentionally or not, but the lighting at Wildfire Ridge Golf Club is just breathtaking!

Really... there is not a single (major) thing I could complain about.

Summary: Don't linger to tee off on this course! It's absolutely fun to play!

An amazing golf course without a grain of sand out of place. Great mix of speed and firmness in all areas. Layout spot on. The scariest finishing holes yet on TGC imo. A must play for all skill levels.

The best desert course to date. PERIOD!  I loved the simplistic look. But if you look deeper there is nothing simple about this course. I thought the view of the mountains in the backdrop was the best I've seen. The suttle undulating fairways made me think about every tee shot. And lets not even talk about the four finishing holes. Absolutely breathtaking. I think 15 was my favorite with the reflection of the mountains in the lake. Challenging fairways and greens made me enjoy every shot on this course. Thank you Craig for another stunner. Your courses rock. Three thumbs up.... Lol, you get the point. A must play for everyone.

You can always tell when Mr. LeVasseur designs a course that a lot of thought is given to every aspect of the design. If you have not played this course you are really missing something. For normal play it ranks somewhere on the easy side but if you play it with TST settings it leans more towards medium difficulty. What a gorgeous venue for any desert themed competition or even for a nice round of golf with your friends. Absolutely fabulous. Thank you.
