Inch Island sits in the shadows of skyscrapers but is certainly not overawed. Small in name but big in stature. A very challenging yet quirky course which rewards good shots but will punish reckless attempts at attacking pins. The course looks burnt from a long hot summer yet fairways are lush. Also with a large spectator carpark tented village and grandstands it offers a tournament feel. Recovery shots can be good fun even though most of them may come back to your feet if not executed properly. Not a long course but accuracy is a premium. The challenge when building Inch was to see if I could get a championship course into a small peninsula and then try to squeeze in championship tees just like real challenges for course designers.
