Torr Head is a rugged piece of coastline on the north coast of Co Antrim Northern Ireland known for its spectacular views, and on this I have built a traditional links with steep run offs and greens that will punish reckless approach shots. Tee boxes perched on cliff tops looking down onto generous fairways look inviting but if the wind blows this course will take no prisoners. If you want a resort type round of golf stay away this course is your typical tough Irish links type course built to test and reward the brave. Short game will be tested as missed greens could be costly. Fairways are fast and undulating and if the wind is behind you on some holes 400 yard drives maybe on the cards. Torr head is built for scenic fun and scores can be made but enjoy the challenge of trying to get up and down around the greens. Good luck and enjoy the craic as we say over here.
