Craig LeVasseur
Lahinch is the host of the 2019 Irish Open. The initial routing of the course is credited to Old Tom Morris in 1894, and in 1927, prior to his work at Augusta National, Cypress Point, and Royal Melbourne, Alister MacKenzie submitted a redesign. The club makes frequent use of a quote attributed to MacKenzie: “Lahinch will make the finest and most popular course that I, or I believe anyone else, has ever constructed.” Not a bad duo of designers! Prevailing Wind - I recommend West or Southwest, occasionally Northwest. For the best experience, I also recommend setting wind speeds to a minimum of High. Turning off Scout Cam also heightens the experience.
