The course is set in the Lake District of England, a small valley with a meandering stream forms the backdrop for the course. East Proctor is a small village made infamous after it's dark secret was revealed in the classic movie American Werewolf In London. Since then the villagers have cleaned up their act and have welcomed the addition of this championship golf course.
The course itself measures just a shade over 7400yds from the tips and uses a good selection of short and long holes, with elevation changes playing a major role. The signature par 3 7th hole, plays down the side and around the back of the Slaughtered Lamb Pub made famous in the movie. Try to resist the urge of paying it a visit during your round, as it's OOB.
The long uphill par 4 15th hole is probably the most difficult, be happy to walk away with par, particularly if the wind is against you, as a relatively easy par 4 follows this to quench your appetite for birdie.
Please do pay it a visit and enjoy your round.
