Welcome to Fastnet Rock Golf Club, my 2020 TGC Rookie Design Comp entry. This course is set on the coastline of County Cork, Ireland and is based on a real lighthouse off the coast which was the last point of Ireland seen by many Irish Imigrants going to America in the 19th century. It is my take on a fusion between a Links and a Healthland Golf course. This course measuring 6997 yards from the back tees is a Par71 course featuring a variety of challenging holes mixed with holes with birdie and eagle opportunities. It has 4 tee options and 4 pins and should cater to all skill levels. I believe hitting the fairways regularly is imperative to score well on this course with most fairways measuring a fair 30-35 yards in diameter. Approach shots to the greens have a variety of options, whether to go directly at pins, use the green countours and/or bounce the ball into the green using the fairway or aprons provided. I believe it offers a challenging test of all aspects of your game.
