Jonathan Alford
Inspired by summers at the South Carolina Lowcountry, Carolina Queen is now live. I hope for a natural journey of salt marsh, low dunes, moss-draped oaks, towering pines, and palmettos driven by a blend of influences ranging from Kiawah to Chechessee Creek. Add a dash of Raynor's Yeamans Hall bunkering and green structure (including a replication of 11 at CC of Charleston), and I make no claim as a purist, but had fun trying to create classic flat-bottom bunkers juxtaposed with dunes and beach. A few modified templates - Biarritz, Eden, Alps, Double Plateau, Redan and Punchbowl. Tees: White, Blue, and Black are not "manipulated," but create three distinct hole experiences close in total distance Wind: I prefer High North wind - medium is fine Greens: 8.1 (178) - should be very fair, but think your approach placement Please accept some imagination - I love Secession's retaining wall tees and took a risk on waves, but game constraints are a challenge. Enjoy!
