Brandon Pugh
Located in Mapleton, Utah, Spring Meadows Country Club is a beautiful and challenging golf course with elevated tees and greens on most of the holes. First designed by course architect Brandon Pugh with a friend as a miniature to scale version by a spring near his home. Now, after starting a software company and having the available capital his toy course is finally a reality! Having a membership here is truly a special thing. Completely overhauled! Added new fairways. Repaired and changed bunkers. Changed lighting. Added rock retaining walls. Added better heavy rough and more consistent light rough. Changed and add more contour to greens. Gave every hole special attention.
This course has a west coast feel to it. Reminiscent of a Torrey Pines, Spyglass Hill, and Pebble Beach inward holes all combined into one. Most of the greens are "plateuad" and elevated, which requires some savy iron shots and solid reads on the green if a player wants to score.
